Cosmetic items in Fortnite are some of the game's biggest draws, as its online store offers a wide array of skins based on pop culture characters, real-life influencers, and original costumes for players to use in-game. The game has expanded into the real world in some ways as well, from the usual merchandise like t-shirts and action figures to exclusive items like limited-edition game controllers.
Now, the game is rumored to be expanding its real-world merchandise even more, as known Fortnite leaker HypeX claimed on Twitter that a pair of Adidas sneakers themed around the character Peely might hit stores on March 22. In the image attached to the tweet, the shoes appear to be bright yellow sneakers with banana-themed iconography and a symbol on the side that references the game.
